It's really well made. The game is quite enjoyable. The graphics are nice. The gameplay is smooth and fun.

But, I really dislike the overall tone. Labeling 'potheads' as zombies strikes a bit of a nerve. Baseless pot head bashing is quite annoying.

leonardozimbres responds:

On the first game I would agree with you. But on this one, the zombies are all kind of people. It is more a fun-hipotetical-situation, like first Romero's film, where all dead people are rising from their graves for no reason.

It seems to be really well done. I just couldn't get into it due to the controls. Had WASD have been an option I'd have a hard getting away from this game.

knarrenheinz responds:

Good suggestion and thanks for the review. Shame on me for not putting WASD in there D:

The jugar button doesn't work. Aside from that, the opening menu looks terrible. The buttons are pretty ugly and the fonts don't fit in the boxes very well. I'd really like to see devs stop using the whole "Slap Mario on it!" routine. Having Mario on your game doesn't make your game any better. It actually makes the game worse and in turn makes both the sponsor and dev look bad for not taking the time to create their own game.

sorry buddy this is my first game is a job that I was commissioned in school but thanks for the comments

It won't play for more than 5 seconds without buffering. I'm on a 22 Mb connection so there really shouldn't have to be any buffering; at least there isn't with Youtube, Hulu and the like.

Kenney responds:

Must be your connection though, we've tested with over 100 people and nobody had any problems. You might also want to check your video codecs, make sure you have the most common ones installed.

Still not a reason to review 0 stars, if it wasn't working correctly for you how could you review?

It seems the troll face isn't clickable.

I would have liked to see WASD controls and a map. But considering the time constraint of the competition you did very well.

casinojack responds:

Many thanks for the kind words. There were plenty of things I would have loved to have added, but since I started way too late into the 48 hours it was a mad rush to get something, *anything*, complete!
Great idea on the map - if and when I make an enhanced version/sequel, I'll be sure to add that.

The Mochi pop-ups come up and block the screen while you're playing. I'd also like to be able to use WASD controls.

TechVision responds:

I will try and add WASD controls in the next version.

The popups are the achievements. I agree it would be preferable to display them at the bottom of the screen, or at the end of levels. I'll see what I can do...

I quite enjoyed this. There's really no strategic reason to stop shooting, and there's no added challenge in having to hold the mouse button down. So I think it would only make sense to include an auto-fire option. But that's not so much a problem as it is a minor nuisance.

There is one big problem though. When you die you have the option to continue or quit. But you don't have any way to buy upgrades. This means that if you get stuck on a level you're SOL. It would make the game much better if you could go back and replay levels or buy upgrades between dying and retrying.

Other than those two issues this is a great game. I absolutely love the graphics.

italos responds:

Autoshoot will make the user think its less interaction int he game and it will just make it having less control over the user. Imagine if we also did autotargeting too. Where is the fun then? At least there is suspense to get you clicking :)

This game has potential. But it has some problems that make it feel unfinished. Having to repeatedly click to fire is annoying, especially seeing as holding down click doesn't seem to have any advantage. There appears to be no way to upgrade. I can only imagine what a nuisance it is to kill enemies on later stages as they get more powerful and your weapon doesn't. The level up sign at the end of a stage needs to be looked at. The words end up going off the right side of the screen. It also seems really out of place that they are in a plain font while the other words are in a bit more stylized font. I think that might be because I don't have that font installed and it's not embedded in the game. With some work this could be a pretty fun game.

stomachache responds:

Thanx for the suggestions! I'll surely correct these :P

It won't go past the first screen. I'd also like to suggest reconsidering the controls. Having most of your actions down on the bottom row with one action two rows up isn't very intuitive. I think B would be a better choice for "use some stuff" than E is.
