There's a decent portion of the right side of the screen that's cut off. It looks like a good game but it's really not playable when a large part of the game won't show up on screen.

I can't seem to get the car to move at all.

Did you wait for the green light?

This is really fun. Though the jumps are a bit fiddly. It seems like you keep moving to the left/right after you've let go of the key. It'd be a great game if the controls were better. I have to admit that having to use the arrow keys kind of sucks. I'd much rather use WASD or be able to assign my own keys.

Fiddly. I like that word.

The site lock is broken so it won't play.

joelesler responds:

Yeah sorry. I'm just fixing that now.

It sucks that you lose your weapon power-ups when you get hit. Even with that this is a fun game.

The reason I rated it low is the artwork. It's very nice to look at, but it's not original. At least the yellow submarine isn't. I'd have rated this much higher if you had created your own art work for it.

This is fun and well made. I'd really like to be able to use A/D instead of the arrow keys. And the pause button could be in a more convenient location than escape. Other than that it's very well done.

All in all this could be a really great game if some issues were addressed. But as it stands it just feels tedious to play. I would really like to see this game either revisited with fixes for the problems or a sequel that pays a little more attention to the users' experience. It's clear that a lot of effort was put into this game. If more attention was paid to the users that will be playing this game it would be a hell of a great game. I hope I don't come off too negative. The aspects that you got right on this game are spot on.

This is a great idea with a lot of potential. The graphics are perfect. The sounds nice; it's a plus that you added a mute button as I like to listen to my own music while I play games.

The controls are almost spot on. It's great that you can use WASD as using the arrow keys and mouse simultaneously is uncomfortable. Though I don't understand why M/N toggles the weapons. Neither hand is anywhere near M/N so you have to reach away to get to it. Although there is a button for it it's not very convenient. I would prefer to use Q and/or E to toggle weapons. It'd also be nice to have a hot-key to open the menus for items and buildings. A hot-key for the nuke is also needed. And it's very annoying and tedious to have to repeatedly press the mouse button to attack, especially with the ranged weapon.

I think you should make it so you have to upgrade buildings through the buildings menu. It's too easy to click on the building when you mean to attack which can lead to inadvertently selling/upgrading when you don't want to.

I have a problem with the ranged weapon. There's a very small window where you can hit an enemy making it essentially useless because the arrows fly over their heads. I think it could be fixed by giving the arrows a flatter trajectory so you can continue hitting enemies when they get closer.

I think the randomness of items being dropped needs to be addressed. I played up to about wave 30 of the first level and never got a new ranged weapon and got two melee weapons and three hats. If the drops are going to be random I think you should be able to buy weapons/armor. Also it seems like I only got health pickups when I didn't need them and never got them when I was on death's door.

I think it needs some balancing on enemies. After building one upgraded wizard tower my wizards were killing the enemies so fast that I didn't get to do any of it aside from when a sudden swarm would drop from the sky. Then at that point it was very easy to get overwhelmed.

The levels need some form of direction. I played the first stage until about wave 30 give or take a few waves. I had no clue what my goal was for the level. I don't know if you're supposed to build a certain number of buildings, or last for X number of waves.

I think there should be some form of continuity between levels. When I die it makes the game go from fun to tedious when you realize that you don't get to keep your weapons, especially considering how long it takes to get the weapons. I'd also like to see leveling up add to other stats like your attack strength, speed, jump height, maybe the cost of buildings.

It looks really promising. The custom cursor seems to jump a bit and lag. I would have rated this as a 4-5 but the cursor issue is so bad it's really not fun to play.

I can't start any levels. I get the level select map then when I try to click on a difficulty the screen goes right back to asking for a difficulty. I'd love to see what this game is when it's fixed.

It gets stuck on a black screen after the first level. I think this game looks good but it's hard to tell off of one level. Depending on the price/DRM status/platform choice I'd be tempted to buy a game like this if it weren't for this bug.
