I really like the concept of this game, but I think the execution falls a bit flat. The drones are not really any threat to you. They are entirely just too annoying to kill because they are such a small target and move so fast. The ratio of the cost of upgrades versus what you get from destroying freighters is a bit much. Getting ~30-50 credits per freighter just isn't enough when the upgrades cost so much. I'd love to see the option to use WASD controls. I also think it'd be a good idea if some of the weapons had the ability to be aimed with the mouse or auto-turrets. The game really needs a story. The ability to travel to different regions would be nice. It gets repetitive to just go out and wait for freighters to spawn. The graphics are nice and the sounds work well. I'd really like to see this game expanded or a sequel that's more suited to spending hours playing.

I'm full agreement with the others. This isn't a game good enough to warrant buying. For one, there's nothing on the sales page telling you whether or not there is DRM in the game. There's also not a GNU/Linux version. And I'm not of the generation that feels all games should be free. I've spent more on video games in my day than Charlie Sheen on coke. But the quality just isn't there. I also refuse to financially support games that may not work in the future because the dev wanted to make sure you couldn't copy it.

It works. But nothing about this intrigues me enough to check out the full version.

It's a fun game. It'd be a damn near perfect game with one change. The sponsor logo in the bottom right hand side of the screen is too big. It interferes with game play. If the logo were relocated and re-sized I'd have rated this as a 5.

thanks! I just uploaded a new version (1.27) with a re-sized logo, I hope this is better! Please let me know.

I don't think I've enjoyed a space game that much since Tie Fighter. I really hope this does well enough that you do a sequel or six. I had no issues with the controls on Firefox 11.0 on Fedora with Flash 11. Though there might be one small bug. In the system on the middle of the right side of the stage, after doing all of the missions and buying all the upgrades the available upgrades count was stuck at 5.

You're right, there was a problem with the upgrades in Occator Prime. I've fixed it. Thanks!

I agree with previous comments that it's frustrating to have to start from square one if you make a mistake. It's also a bit annoying to have to find where numbers fit even though you've filled the grid. Maybe you could make an option to hide the horizontal or vertical numbers so people can get a better idea of where the un-played tiles need to fit. I'd also like to see the option to either replay a level or reset the progress. Other than that it's a great game.

I agree with the message. But the game was a bit lacking. I think you'd have a better chance of getting the message out to more people with some tweaking to the game. Like I'd make your actions like money spent have more of an effect on popularity. And I'd make it so you can see what primaries are coming up next.

I quite like this game. The walking is a bit slow for my liking. And I'd love to be able to use wasd controls. Other than that it's a great game.

While there's nothing wrong with this game, there's not really anything that feels new or special. I kind of feel like I've seen at least five of these FPS games that feel like they're just a re-skinning of the same engine in the past few weeks.

I really want to like this game. There are a few small problems that I think need addressing. I think it would really benefit from having some kind of magnet to help get the dropped money. You just can't move fast enough to get it all. I also think an auto-fire option would be nice. It'd also be more fun if you didn't start over with no money after dying.
